About Olari

Our Story
Olari began as a simple conversation between friends who cared deeply about their
community. Brian Mingia, Executive Director of The Healing Place, was spending a hugh
amount of time and effort piecing together data from disparate spreadsheets, paper forms,
and electronic medical records to manage his facility as accurate reporting meant access
to and sustaining of existing funding. Funding that translated to more people finding
recovery. When Brian asked John Andrews for help with some related Excel issues, the
conversation quickly revealed a problem far bigger than a spreadsheet. Andrews brought
long time business partner Heather Nolan into the discussion to begin exploration of
solutions beyond Excel. Together the three realized the opportunity to build something
transformative for a market in need of a right feature right price wholistic facility
management solution. With that as the genesis, Nolan and Andrews committed to making
a major investment to kick off Olari with Brian as customer zero and chief advisor—
investing more than $1.8mm to date to build the Olari platform and take it to market, with
Nolan leading product and technology and Andrews pivoting to business oversight. For
Nolan and Andrews it was the return of a proven business partnership, now aimed at
helping solve a much more impactful problem facing individuals and communities.
The process Brian had been living with was exhausting, slow, and often stood in the way of
opportunities that could change lives. When he shared this struggle, the spark for Olari
was lit: what if technology could remove the burden instead of adding to it…
From that spark grew a team of builders—engineers, product thinkers, and entrepreneurs
who had spent their careers creating thoughtful, high-impact software. But this time, the
mission was personal. They saw firsthand how recovery organizations were underserved
by bloated, enterprise systems never designed for the realities of community-based care.
Brian’s experience wasn’t an outlier; it was the norm. Together, the team recognized an
opportunity to use their talents for something more meaningful: to build a modern, right-
sized platform that honored the work of recovery professionals and made their days a little
easier.
Today, Olari exists because people who understand the recovery world chose to build
something better. Fully self-funded and grounded in a simple belief—that tools powering
critical care should be powerful, affordable, and never out of reach—Olari helps
organizations capture, track, and report data without the chaos. More importantly, it gives
recovery teams time back to focus on what they do best: helping people heal, rebuild, and
thrive. Olari is more than software; it’s a commitment to supporting the heart of recovery
work and amplifying the positive impact these organizations make in their communities
every day.
